Who we are

BF Autos is a digital platform for listing and managing vehicle and property ads. We provide tools for advertisers and interested users without being a party to the final sale or lease between individuals.

Scope

This policy applies to your use of the BF Autos app and the related public website, including accounts, listings, in-app messaging between users about listings (text, images, and optional voice messages), and support.

Compliance

We process data in line with applicable laws in Bahrain and update this page when practices or requirements change.

Data we may collect

This may include: account details (name, email, phone), listing content and photos, support tickets you send us, and technical data such as device type and app version for performance and security. When you use in-app chat about a listing, we process the text you send, optional photos and voice recordings you attach, timestamps, and which listing the thread relates to. Voice notes are captured only when you actively record; they are uploaded and stored like other message attachments. We avoid collecting data that is not needed to operate the service and minimise sensitive data where possible.

Legal bases

We rely on performing the service you requested (including delivering messages between users who choose to chat), legitimate interests in securing the platform and preventing abuse, and legal obligations where applicable. Where we rely on consent (e.g. optional marketing notices), you can withdraw consent later according to available settings.

Sharing

We may use trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, email, aggregated analytics) under agreements that require data protection. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Chat content is visible to the other participant in that conversation and may be accessed by authorised staff for safety, moderation, investigations, or legal compliance. We do not share conversation content more broadly except as required by law or to protect users and the platform.

Retention & security

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal duties, then delete or aggregate it. We apply reasonable security measures (access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, access monitoring), knowing that no online service is risk-free.
